Our public speakers

PAQUITA LAMACRAFT

Business and not-for-profits

I’ve spent decades dissecting complexity and handing it back to people in a form they can use. I speak to boards, conferences, industry bodies and teams — on adapting to complex change, on finding the value hidden in plain sight inside an organisation, and on why fast growth so often breaks the very structure that created it.

What I care about most is that a room leaves with something to do. Not inspiration that evaporates by lunchtime — specific, actionable ideas, drawn from real cases and real references, and delivered with the kind of irreverent humour that makes them stick.

Topics I’m regularly asked to speak on:

- The most expensive button on your desk — why cutting people is usually the wrong response to change, and what to do instead.

- Hidden in plain sight — finding the innovation and value you already have.

- Topped out but unfinished — growing without outgrowing your own structure - and how to quickly fit to need.

- The voices the algorithm forgets — getting a genuinely wide perspective in an AI-tilted world.

- Marketing without advertising - how to harness others to tell your story vividly and with impact.

Tourism Development, Economic Development and Regeneration, and Cultural economy development

Not everyone has the benefit of distinctly different career paths that interweave a professional life of guiding the people most affected to develop rapid pathways forward to an improved community future.

As a former Manager of Tourism & Economic Development, Cultural Manager of a fast growing city, Regeneration Lead, and industry cluster leader,  I have.

That makes my talks highly credible as they speak from experience of being there - not just behind a desk - and the content is always geared to motivate that particular audience into "Start now with what you have" action - not just note taking.

Topics I’m regularly asked to speak on:

Making a Japanese breakfast - Are you attracting the clients you are targeting? And is this target group your most accessible and profitable?

Grow, graft, or new variety? Repurpose from cultural strength  instead of importing something with no relationship to the community where it will locate.

Are you madly fascinating? - The power of strategically developed marketing without adverting

Dress for the occasion. - How you dress your offer is a magnet to a particular audience.

The art of the piggyback - Hitching a ride with those already in your key market.
